Thanks for asking – the iPad raffle has not taken place yet. All tickets have to be sold prior to the drawing. We have sold about 300 tickets to date and have 200 to go. Check back in the next couple of months.

Where do I look to find out the progress of the Ipad raffle?

Also, I wanted to say that the sale was great, we found a lot of treasures for our Tea Party Shower and everyone we bought from was very generous with making us a good deal.

We actually left and came back with more money!!

I can’t wait for the next one!!

Al, thanks for sharing your story and bringing the bank pictures alive. If you have any other Berwyn anecdotes or even pictures from your visit to the Bank, we’d love to hear/see them.

My grandfather, Albert Hassell, was vice president of the Berwyn national Bank. I remember going in with him on Saturday mornings from time to time. My favorite job was opening and closing the drawer at the walk up window. The bad part was that after the bank closed at noon nobody could leave until the money was counted and in the vault, making for a late lunch. I still have his 1930 Model A Ford that he drove there every Saturday.

Is this in the Public Library on Harlem Ave., or a bank building in the Depot District?
