History of Chicagoland in Maps

Join Donald and Tanya Smith (whose family has been involved in surveying & map making since 1854) for a
presentation about history of surveying in the U.S. and Illinois, especially greater Chicagoland. Hear stories about map making, the Chicago Fire, Abe Lincoln, and more! They will also be sharing some examples of their antique and vintage maps, atlases, and instruments from their historical collections.

We will also be collecting free will donations to benefit Tanya’s home country of Ukraine.
